Our HistoryIn 2015 our Founding Executive Director, Rosalind Rayford, witnessed our youth, teens, and young adults were becoming increasingly involved in abusive and unhealthy relationships. Abusive and unhealthy relationships seem to have captured our daily living without knowing or understanding that Domestic Violence is a crime. When healthy relationship education is shared with our children and youth, the greater chances they have of recognizing the cycle of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence. The signs and cycles of abuse are not always obvious. Relationship transparency must become important, and it is our responsibility as a community to educate, raise awareness, and teach prevention. We Quote, "The children are our future" Well, let's band together and educate them that we believe they are our future. Although our focus has not changed, we have expanded our services to support teens and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies (male and female), provide adoptive parent support service assistance, and child neglect prevention that has been caused by violence and missed opportunities of pregnancy and parenting support.
