Social Work and Community, Administration, and Policy Practice (CAP) Interns
Our Social Work and Community, Administrative, and Policy Paractice (CAP) interns includes Associates, Bachelors, and Master levels are granted the opportunity to work within the mezzo, micro, and macro setting. Community outreach, case management, and program leadership /development are a few of the opportunities available to our social work and CAP interns. Allinterns are required to participate in weekly supervision.
Macro - All Interns will work with systems in social work practice that focuses on intervention in collaboration with communities and societies in which social workers and social work practitioners play a mulitple roles. Macro social work practitioners includes community development, community organizer, policy analyst, researcher, social planner, etc. Also, macro social practitioners are provided opportunities to participate in fundraisers, grant writing, reporting to funders, research, advocacy, program evaluation, planning and more.
Micro - All interns will experience direct practice of micro skill development in social work focusing on improving the personal experiences of program participants with one-on-one and group counseling. Each intern will be responsible for a caseload to provide advocacy to individuals and families in need of anger management, domestic violence counseling or theraputic conversions (existenial therapy based) (self-determination approach), material assistance for children, adults, and those with disabilities or experiencing emergency displacement such as house fires and a lack of food.

- Community, Administration, and Policy Practice (CAP) - This type of internship allows students to experience working with mulitple departments through a Micro and/Mezzo lense. Students are abe to do some clinical work if necessary in addition to organization program development and execution.
